Activities
L’Acoustic Guitar Workshops was founded in 2009 by Franco Morone and Raffaella Luna.
The fingerstyle guitar courses take place in a typical Marche farmhouse, with a charming hillside location and high-quality services.
In addition to guitar courses, we produce CD recordings and music books. We also provide artistic consulting for events related to traditional and acoustic music.
“The perfect place with your guitar!”
Facilities and hospitality
The Acoustic Guitar Workshops farmhouse has single and double rooms. We strive to satisfy the palate of every participant by offering simple dishes in line with dietary needs. We focus primarily on the genuineness of selecting raw materials from Val Musone ‘Hortus’s cooperative of farmers and producers who pay particular attention to the environment and consumer health. We source vegetables, cereals, legumes, and meat from them. Accompanying guests wishing to collaborate in preparing the food are welcome in our kitchen.
We have a surrounding green area of about 3000 square meters. We use the jam of fruit trees to cook irresistible cakes.
Where we are
We are located on the hill Montetorto about 7 km from Osimo. The farmhouse where guitar courses take place was built in the late 1800s. It arouses admiration for the magnificent hill and mountain panorama: to the southeast are the ‘Sibillini’ mountains, and to the southwest one can make out the outline of the ‘San Vicino’ mountain, part of the Umbria-Marche Apennines. The southern wall of the hill is covered mainly with vineyards, olive groves, and other seasonal crops.
Villages and attractions
Osimo is an ancient rural village located on a high hill. A half-hour drive takes you to the Adriatic Sea, which offers breathtaking views and renowned beaches such as ‘Portonovo’ ‘Numana‘ and ‘Sirolo‘ from ‘Mount Conero’. Among the places of historical and tourist interest, we recommend Loreto home to the famous ‘Basilica of Loreto‘ destination for pilgrims from all over the world; Recanati the birthplace of the celebrated poet Giacomo Leopardi; Offagna one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy; Castelfidardo, a place of production of accordions, known for its museum and the international festival held every year in September. Inland, do not miss the extraordinary Grotte di Frasassi.
