I attended other internships and I found in principle the same glue: sharing sensations, the desire for culture and beauty, the love for small results and the joy of overcoming frustrations with the help of everyone. It is from my point of view a high school of life if you can appreciate it.
It was a privilege for me to know you, you are extraordinary people.
A separate comment on Franco and Raffaella: friends, perfect hosts, capable of sincere affection. Saturday evening was pure sharing.
The ability to stress Franco with little nonsense was a rare privilege, knowing his experience and his undisputed talent: he has unique qualities of patience.

I thank you, Franco, for letting me understand what’s the right approach to the guitar. I do not like those who make fun of you or use euphemisms because they are afraid to say things as they are. The choice I have before me is now simple and, as I am, it has no half measures. Or I let it go, obliging myself to do some simple strumming, or, with patience, I start all over again.
A speech that is not just about the guitar, it is also a choice of life. The music done well absorbs time and energy and at my age to start from scratch it takes courage and unconsciousness together. Also, we must know how to love even the small results because, always for reasons of age, the big ones become unattainable.
Only that, perhaps I understand it just now, writing, the option to give up becomes impossible, not after seeing what the music does in people. Undoubtedly people already predisposed and with remarkable human characteristics. But it was nice to see how my workshop colleagues managed to find balance and happiness in music.
Why do I want to play? For this, to feel good. There is no other reason.
A special thanks to Raffaella. You have surrounded us with care and attention. Among other things, we ate very well. Thanks also for the advice on the voice, I will need a lot.

I followed the Easter 2016 workshop: it was a wonderful experience. Personally, last summer’s experience gave me a tremendous motivational boost to continue my journey as a musician and was a great source of inspiration. It was an experience that I will repeat and recommend to anyone who wants to give themselves a great gift, combining the best of a family welcome in a charming country house where every corner speaks of music and harmony, drawing from Franco’s great musical experience, living for a few days in the company of other musicians and alternating group and individual lessons, delicious and natural food. A week after your seminar, I would like to thank you for a great experience! It was indeed a pleasure to be in contact for four days with a musician like you, endowed with musical finesse, taste, politeness and – last but not least – an extraordinary bravura (which never transcends into self-praise, in the didactic sphere, and into a spectacle for its own sake, in the musical field) it was equally pleased to be able to share this experience with other people, to play together and to get to know each other. I got to enter a world “that of fingerstyle” that I knew only partially, and I found I was very passionate about and learned so many facets. Now I listen to your pieces, both those of your compositions and arrangements of traditional and I find them very enjoyable I listen to a lot of other acoustic guitar music.

I attended an individual guitar masterclass at Franco and Raffaella’s beautiful country house in September 2021. Franco was genuinely committed to helping me to improve my playing. His lessons were invaluable. My only regret is I did not seek out advice from a master of the guitar such as Franco many years ago. I liked the way Franco explained the aspects of theory and rhythm he covered. Finally, they made sense after confusing me for so long. What I learned will be very useful for my playing. The accommodation was very comfortable with the ground floor provided for guests and lessons. The three cooked meals a day were of an exceptional quality made from local ingredients and cooked to perfection by Raffaella. It was a wonderful taste of Italian home cooking that is hard to find for a visitor from overseas like me. The food was much better than most restaurants. I could also relax using the WiFi. Some nights there would be guitar playing and singing from Franco and Raffaella: so enjoyable. There is a nice dog too, Margot, it is tiny but has a big personality. I had a visit to Osimo that I would recommend. I would happily return and repeat the whole experience.
